I’ve received training in psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and systems-centered methods of psychotherapy and draw upon science, perennial wisdom, and humor in my approach to counseling. Mostly, I listen with both ears and tune in to what my client is saying or trying to say, be it one-on-one, in a couple’s or family session, or in the groups and workshops I lead — small “laboratories for life” — which everyone should experience at least once. Sometimes the ideal treatment for a person is a combination of in-depth individual psychotherapy, family or couple’s counseling, and dynamic, interactive small group work. Whatever the format, co-creating a positive therapeutic relationship is essential to a good outcome.
Whatever the challenge — emotional, relational, vocational, or other — together we can address it. We’ll pinpoint the issues, develop a plan, activate your inner resources, and help you achieve your goals.
